This page is an invitation to join the fight against online scams by becoming a “Digital Hero” and a “Scam Buster.” It outlines a simple, kid-friendly pledge that encourages safe online practices, such as thinking carefully before clicking on links, keeping personal details and passwords secure, and asking a trusted adult when something feels off. The pledge introduces easy-to-remember rules—including the SCAM Method (Stop, Check, Ask, Monitor)—to help protect yourself and others from digital threats. By signing the pledge, you commit to staying alert, practicing responsible online behavior, and spreading awareness among friends and family to make the internet a safer place for everyone.
As part of your promise to be a Scam Buster and a Digital Hero you will agree to following these online safety rules:
✅ Think Before I Click – I will be careful before clicking links, especially in messages from strangers or offers that seem too good to be true.
✅ Keep My Passwords Secret – I will create strong passwords and never share them with anyone except my parents or guardians.
✅ Stay Private Online – I will not share my personal details, like my real name, address, or passwords, with people I meet online.
✅ Spot the Tricks – I will watch out for scams, fake giveaways, and messages that try to rush me into making a decision.
✅ Ask a Trusted Adult – If I ever feel unsure about a message, a website, or an online offer, I will ask a parent, teacher, or trusted adult for help.
✅ Teach Others – I will share what I’ve learned with my friends and family, especially parents and grandparents, so we can all stay safe online.
✅ Use The SCAM Method – Stop, Check, Ask, Monitor—to help protect myself and those around me from online scams.
By understanding that by following these rules, you are helping to stop scammers and make the internet a safer place for everyone. You can be proud to be a Scam Buster!
